Keala Andrea Cordeiro enters 2022 as her first season with the Wesleyan softball program.
Most-recently, Cordeiro served as an assistant coach for the Cheshire High School in Connecticut. She also assisted as fellow collegiate teammate coaching a U14 travel team.
Cordeiro is a graduate of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, CT. She started at first base for two years. She earned her BA and Master's degree from QU. Previous to QU, she attended Gulf Coast State College in Panama City, FL. Cordeiro was named to the All-Conference first team and the All-State second team after her first year at Gulf Coast. She landed on the first team All-Conference and All-State All-American team following her sophomore season. She batted .427 and .444 respectively with 75 RBIs in 53 games.
A resident of Huntington Beach, California, Cordeiro played varsity softball and field hockey for four years at Marina High for Shelly Luth, a renowned high school coach in the region. Cordeiro was inducted into the Larry Doyle Hall of Fame at Marina High following a stellar playing career.
