The Wesleyan women’s lacrosse team advanced to the Quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Championships for the first time in program history following a 13-7 win over No. 2 Washington & Lee on the campus of Gettysburg College Saturday afternoon.

For the second year in a row, the Wesleyan women’s lacrosse team will travel to Gettysburg, Pa. to compete in the Regional Round of the 2019 NCAA Division III Championships. The eighth-ranked Cardinals will play No. 2 Washington & Lee on Saturday, May 18 at 2:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the Quarterfinals on Sunday, May 19 (2:30 p.m.) against the winner of No. 1 Gettysburg vs. Denison.
For the second year in a row, the Wesleyan women’s lacrosse team is moving on to the Third Round of the NCAA Championships as the eighth-ranked Cardinals used a second half rally to defeat No. 9 Mary Washington on a cold, rainy Sunday at Smith Field, 11-6.
For the third consecutive season, the Wesleyan University women’s lacrosse team has advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament as the Cardinals earned an at-large bid with a 14-3 overall record. Wesleyan secured a First Round bye and will host Mary Washington (15-4) and Westfield State (11-9) on Saturday, May 11. The Cardinals will face the winner in the Second Round on Sunday, May 12 with a time to be determined.
Abby Manning scored four points (3 g, 1 a) to set a single-season program record with 65, but the seventh-ranked and third-seeded Wesleyan women's lacrosse team lost to No. 5 and second-seeded Tufts in the NESCAC Semifinals on Saturday, 11-8.
The No. 7 Wesleyan women’s lacrosse team (14-2) heads to Middlebury, Vt. this weekend for NESCAC Semifinal action. The Cardinals, seeded No. 3 in the conference tournament, will play second-seeded and nationally ranked No. 5 Tufts (15-1) at 3 p.m. on Saturday, with the winner advancing to the championship game scheduled for Sunday, May 5 at 1 p.m.
