Bill Dudzik is entering his 29th season assisting the women’s soccer program at Wesleyan in 2024.

Dudzik helped guide the Cardinals to a record-breaking season in 2021, as Wesleyan advanced to the Final Four in the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance. Wesleyan rolled through the campaign, finishing with an 18-2-2 record and 8-1-1 mark in NESCAC play. The 18 wins set a new single-season record, easily surpassing the previous record of 12 set back in 1994. Wesleyan went on to host a NESCAC Tournament game for the first time in team history, defeating Bowdoing 2-1 in the Quarterfinal round. The Cardinals then defeated Hamilton 2-0 in the Semifinal stage before losing in PKs to Middlebury in the NESCAC title match. Earning an at-large bid into the 2021 NCAA Tournament, the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance, Wesleyan went on a magical ride that saw wins come over Penn State Behrend (1-0) in the First Round, Stevens (1-0) in the Second Round, No. 2 ranked Johns Hopkins (2-1) in the Third Round and No. 8 ranked MIT (2-1 OT) in the Quarterfinals as the Cardinals advanced to the national semifinal weekend (Final Four) in Greensboro, North Carolina. Wesleyan's historic season came to an end in a 1-0 loss to No. 1 ranked NJIT at the Final Four but the record books were rewritten as the team set new single-season records across the board (wins, goals, assists, points, shots, shutouts). 

Dudzik is a 1980 graduate of Post and was head girls’ soccer coach at Vinal Tech in Middletown, Conn., for five years before coming aboard at Wesleyan. He also directed a U-19 premiere outdoor team in Middletown for seven years and a U-19 Oakwood premiere indoor team for four years. 

He gained valuable playing experience himself during a stint in the Navy between 1968 and 1972. He works full time as a design coordinator for a local granite/marble company.
