Emily Stotesbery

With a lifelong passion for the sport and a strong background in competitive diving and athlete development, Emily Stotesbery brings both experience and enthusiasm to the Wesleyan University Swimming & Diving program. She is in her first season as the diving coach at Wesleyan in the 2026-27 season.
 
A former NCAA Division I diver at Penn State University, Stotesbery earned varsity letter honors while competing at one of the nation’s premier collegiate programs. Prior to her collegiate career, she was an AAU All-American, New England Champion, multiple-time conference champion, and All-State performer. She was later inducted into the Greenwich Aquatics Hall of Fame in recognition of her accomplishments in the sport.
 
Stotesbery is the founder and head coach of the Milford Youth Diving Program, where she has introduced and developed divers of all skill levels while building a successful and competitive youth diving community in Connecticut. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes strong fundamentals, technical excellence, athlete confidence, and a positive team culture that allows student-athletes to thrive both in and out of the pool.
 
In addition to her coaching experience, Stotesbery has worked with divers ranging from beginners to high-level competitors and remains passionate about mentoring young athletes. She is dedicated to creating an environment that challenges student-athletes to reach their potential while fostering a lifelong love for the sport of diving.
 
A Milford resident and proud mother, Stotesbery is excited to contribute to the continued success and growth of Wesleyan Swimming & Diving.
