ORLANDO, Fla. – Wesleyan women's tennis cruised to a 9-0 sweep over No. 29 Case Western Reserve on Tuesday afternoon at Sanlando Park. With the win, the seventh-ranked Cardinals improved to 3-0 on the year, while the Spartans dropped to 4-3.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

• In doubles action, the Yu sisters won 8-3 in the top spot while Alexis Amy and Alissa Nakamoto won by the same score in the No. 3 spot. In No. 2 doubles, Venia Yeung and Polina Kiseleva cruised to an 8-1 victory.
• Wesleyan won five of its six singles matches in two sets.
• In No. 1 singles, Victoria Yu edged Madeleine Paolucci in a three-set thriller. Yu dropped the first set (6-4) but responded with wins of 7-6 (7-5), 10-5.
• Kristina Yu and Nakamota claimed commanding wins in the No. 2 and No. 5 spots, respectively, as they each won 6-0, 6-1.
• Kiseleva won No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-4), Amy claimed No. 4 singles (6-3, 6-1), and Daniela Alvarez took No. 6 singles (6-2, 6-1).
