Box Score 2 AMHERST, Mass. – Making their return after over a year without competitive games, the Wesleyan softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader at Amherst by scores of 7-0 in game one and 8-0 in game two.

Highlights Game 2 (L, 0-8 5 Innings):
Wesleyan looked to have jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the first inning of game two as
Olivia Adams '23 tripled to right field with one out.
Sophia Sciarappa '22 lifted a pitch to left for an out and on the tag up, Adams scored on the play but was later deemed to have left early before the out was made, thus taking the run away and recording the inning-ending out.
Revi Brown '23 pitched for the first time in her career and escaped a pair of jams, leaving two runners on in each of the first two innings before Amherst took a 1-0 lead on a Jess Butler RBI single. The score remained just 1-0 Mammoths until the decisive fifth inning where seven straight runs resulted in an 8-0 final.
