Audrey Lavey Earns NESCAC Player of the Week Honors

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - After a five-point week, Audrey Lavey '23 of the No. 14 ranked Wesleyan women's soccer team has been announced as the NESCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week. This is Lavey's first career Player of the Week honor.

Lavey led the Cardinals in scoring with two goals and one assist in a 2-0 week. She began the week assisting the game-winning goal in the 10th minute of play in a 4-0 home win over Coast Guard. Lavey added two goals just 2:10 apart in the first half of a 3-2 win over Bowdoin. It was her first career multi-goal game in 20 appearances. Lavey now has a team-leading three goals in 2021 while she is tied with Gravey Devanny for the team-lead in points with seven.

Wesleyan remains unbeaten at 5-0, which marks the second-best start to a season in program history. The Cardinals pick up play with a huge Tuesday night road NESCAC dual at Tufts on Tuesday. Both teams enter that game undefeated in NESCAC play.
