MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. – The Wesleyan women's golf team hosted an invitational for the first time in program history over the weekend, welcoming in six schools for the inaugural Wesleyan Invitational at the Lyman Orchards Golf Club. Wesleyan finished sixth out of seven programs in the competition with Amherst taking home the title.
Danielle Landis '25 led the way for Wesleyan for the second straight tournament, posting a first round 83 before coming back with an 86 on Sunday for a two-day total of 169. The highlight of the tournament was a birdie for Landis on the par 4 5
th hole in her round 1 action on Saturday.
Jacqueline Neishabouri '25 was second-best for the weekend on Wesleyan's lineup as she tallied an opening round 85 before a second round 87 put her at a two-day total of 172. Neishabouri tallied three birdies, including two in round two, the most for any Cardinal over the weekend.
Milan Yorke '25 was third-best on the weekend with a two-day total of 184 while
Lily Goldfine '25 rounded out the scoring with a 95-94-189.
Wesleyan continues their fall season with a trip to Massachusetts for the Williams Invitational next weekend (Oct. 2-3).
