MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women's squash team defeated Conn. College 9-0 on Saturday and fell 8-1 in a Sunday afternoon home match to No. 18 nationally-ranked Bowdoin. Wesleyan (5-4) was led by
Aashni Parikh '22 who was the lone Cardinal to go 2-0 over the weekend.

- Six of the nine team points won by Wesleyan in the match came in straight set victories
- Laila Kewalramani '24 started things off with a tightly-contested 3-0 straight set win over Rachel Matamoros, taking the match 11-9, 11-8, 11-9
- Anika Kewalramani '24 won easily 11-4, 11-6 in the first two sets before closing out the straight set sweep with a 13-11 win in the third set
- Portia Pliam '25 and Marangela James '24 continued the run of 3-0 sweeps at #3 and #4, respectively
- Emma Smith '22 needed four sets to get by Johanile Hurtado at #5, eventually pulling out a 14-12, 3-11, 12-10, 11-6 win
- Annie Roach '22 was locked in a battle with Birgitta Quinn at #6 that required five sets, ultimately closing out a 11-8, 12-14, 7-11, 11-9, 11-7 win
- Sydney Kim '22 defeated Crystal Dixon at #7 and Parikh took down Angela Cao at #9, both by 3-0 decisions
- Celia Penny '24 made it a 9-0 sweep for Wesleyan at #8 as he defeated Caroline Champa 11-6, 11-7, 6-11, 11-8

- Parikh was victorious at #9, defeating Delphine King 11-7, 6-11, 11-4, 11-2 to account for the lone Cardinal point in the match
The Cardinals host both No. 10 Amherst and No. 13 Williams next Saturday in Little 3 action. Williams has won the Little 3 in 21 consecutive seasons (since 1999-00).
