HARTFORD, Conn. – The Wesleyan women's crew team opened the 2022-23 season on a blistery day on the Connecticut River, placing sixth overall out of 31 teams at the Riverfront Regatta.
Wesleyan's top varsity boat placed sixth with a time of 13:35.78, placing behind boats from Tufts, Trinity, two from UMass and UConn. The lead boat for Wesleyan featured

It was a solid start to the year and provided some great racing experience for the whole team," said Wesleyan head coach
Pat Tynan. "All of the crews in the lead pack looked very good for this early in the season. That said, the focus will remain on our own preparation as we gear for later in the year."
The Cardinals' second varsity boat placed 16
th with a time of 14:10.77 while the third varsity boat placed 28
th, crossing the line in 15:11.30.
Wesleyan is back in action on October 21-23 for the Head of the Charles in Boston.
