PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Wesleyan men's track & field team posted a bevy of personal-best times and performances at the Brown University Invitational on Saturday.
Sam Musto '24 was able to achieve first place in the 400m finals with an incredibly fast time of 50.65 seconds.
Will Ruden-Sella '25 followed directly behind Musto, placing second as he clocked in with a personal-best time of 52.34, while
Nigel Hayes '23 came in just behind his teammates as he placed third, also managing a career-best time of 52.67 seconds.
Wesleyan dominated the 800m with four runners earning top 5 finishes.
Ethan Walker '22 was fastest among Wesleyan's contingent, placing second with an impressive time of 1:59.68.
Nate Fogarty '25 was right behind him placing third with a 2:02.21.
Aaron Foote '24 finished with a time of 2:03.75, a new personal-best, to take fourth in the finals. Another career-best time for a Cardinal saw
Luke Consolati '25 post 2:05.76 to take fifth in the 800m finals.
Christian Denny '22 accomplished a third place finish in the 60m finals, with a career-best time of 7.01 seconds.
Wesleyan saw a pair earn Top 10 results in the 200m as
Kyle Roshankish '24 placed fourth earning a time of 23.42 seconds, while
Wesley Abraham '25 followed close behind attaining a time of 25.44 seconds to clinch a seventh place finish.
Nick Helbig '23 threw 14.44m in the weight throw, finishing sixth place and boasting a personal-best, as the junior also added a 10th place finish in shot put, throwing 12.67m.
Anish Visht '24 showed well in pole vault, earning a personal best of 3.55m, ultimately placing ninth overall.
Andrew Dearborn '22 accomplished a personal-best in high jump, finishing fourth overall with a jump of 1.87m.
Noah Olsen followed close behind his teammate, finishing sixth with a jump of 1.82m.
Looking forward, Wesleyan will travel to Middlebury, VT to take part in the New England Division III Championships. The meet will take place over Friday, and Saturday, February 25
th and 26
th.
