Short description of a favorite moment at Wes:
"My favorite Wesleyan memory was working at the Great Hollow Wilderness School, which Wesleyan used to own.  This girl from the Bronx who had never slept outside was suddenly tasked with leading groups on experiential learning activities, including camping, rock climbing, caving, high ropes courses, etc.… I learned that the most powerful limits on what we can achieve are the ones that we put on ourselves. My second favorite memory was frosh year – sliding down Foss Hill after the first snow on a Mocon tray!"

1994 Jones Award recipient (softball), team co-captain senior year; selected to work as a Senior Interviewer

Short description of the career you have had after Wes:
"Life after Wesleyan took me to the education sector, as I believe education is the key that opens the door to opportunity.  I served as a Teach for America corps member for two years immediately after college, and ended up working for nearly ten years as a middle school teacher at a public school in New York City.  After relocating to Delaware in 2005 I moved from K-12 to higher education. For the past 16 years I have worked in higher education in TRIO/Upward Bound, academic advising, and now as an advising administrator."

"I'm eternally grateful for my time at Wesleyan. I made lifelong friends and truly learned about myself."
