MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Wesleyan men's track and field team 4x800m relay group were crowned champions of New England as the Cardinals traveled to Middlebury College this weekend to compete in the New England Division III Championships Friday and Saturday.
Wesleyan's top 4x800m relay group (
Ethan Walker '22,
Nate Fogarty '25,
George Lepska '25, and
Miles Aronow '22) boasted an impressive first place finish with a time of 3.30.25 seconds.
Christian Denny '22 competed in the 60m final, placing sixth out of a total 23 competitors, clocking in with a time of 7.03 seconds. This is Denny's first career Top 10 finish at the New England Championships.
Dale Ross '22 was able to achieve a personal-best in the 3000m finals, achieving a time of 8.43.88, placing 10
th overall.
Wesleyan's Distance Medley relay team (Aronow,
Nigel Hayes '23, Lepska,
Will Ratner '22) accomplished an eighth place finish with a time of 10:29.73.
Another Wesleyan top relay group (
Kyle Roshankish '24,
Noah Olsen '22, Hayes, Denny) finished ninth out of 20 teams in the 4x400m relay, posting a time of 3:30.25.
The next meet will be the Last Chance Meet, as the team will travel to Medford, Massachusetts on March 5th.
