MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women's squash team was downed in their regular season finale, 8-1, against No. 10 nationally-ranked Brown on Wednesday night from the Rosenbaum Squash Center. The Cardinals (6-5) now head into the NESCAC Tournament this weekend where they will open postseason play as the No. 9 seed, set to face the No. 8 seeded and host Hamilton.
Playing in her final career home match,
Carly Blue '22 dominated at #9 as she earned a 3-0 sweep over Zoya Unni, earning the win by a score line of 11-1, 11-2, 11-2.
All other matches were decided in 3-0 sweeps by the Brown Bears. Prior to the start of the match, Wesleyan honored its five-member senior class – Blue,
Sydney Kim '22,
Aashni Parikh '22,
Annie Roach '22 and
Emma Smith '22 – who all played in the final home match of their respective careers.
Wesleyan now heads to the NESCAC Tournament where they look to exact some revenge against the Continentals who they lost to 9-0 earlier this season.
