BEVERLY, Mass. – Despite playing their third away game in five days, the No. 7 ranked Wesleyan women's lacrosse team showed no signs of slowing down as the Cardinals dispatched Endicott in a 11-3 win on Sunday afternoon. Wesleyan (11-2) improves to 7-1 on the road this season while the Gulls (7-6) see their five-game win streak come to an end.
A dominating performance from Wesleyan saw the Cardinals outshoot Endicott 36-10 (25-5 in shots on-goal) but Endicott's goalkeeper Lydia Akins kept the Gulls within reach until late in the fourth quarter as she totaled 14 saves in this one.
Laura Baine '24 contributed in all facets, finishing with her second straight hat trick while adding three ground balls and two caused turnovers. This is Baine's fifth hat trick of the season while the two caused turnovers are a new season-high.
Bridget Horst '26 recorded her second career multi-goal game while she added a game-high six draw controls to put her season total at 53 while she has at least five draw controls in seven straight games.
Erin Trotta '23 led a stalwart defensive effort with team-leading totals in both ground balls (four) and caused turnovers (three). She leads the team in both categories this season, recording 36 ground balls and 28 caused turnovers through 13 games.
Turnovers plagued Endicott all throughout the first half, with the Gulls committing 15 in the opening 30 minutes while being held scoreless with just five attempted shots. Wesleyan managed to fire three goals past Akins in the first, with Baine scoring the first two goals of the game before
Kiara Tangney '25 converted with six seconds left in the frame.
Eleven more shots came in the second quarter for Wesleyan but only two found the back of the net as Baine completed her hat trick while
Molly Greer '24 scored 45 seconds later to make it 5-0 at the half.
Endicott's defense and Akins kept the Gulls in the game and they found some offense with a pair of goals just 53 seconds apart, after being held scoreless for the first 37:18 of play, to make it 5-2 Cardinals.
Wesleyan answered back moments later with a
Bridget Horst goal followed by
Olivia Lai '23 as the Cardinals took a 7-2 advantage into the fourth quarter.
Even after Kiana Napolitano scored for Endicott 10:29 remaining, Wesleyan closed the game with four unanswered goals.

Bridget Horst added her second of the day.
Annabel Cincotta '25 fired in her second of the season before
