SOUTH HADLEY, MA. – The Wesleyan women's golf team competed in the Jack Leaman Invitational in Massachusetts over the weekend. With the 2
nd round cancelled, each team only participated in the first round on Saturday. The Cardinals placed 9
th out of the 10 teams competing, shooting a round of 353. There was a tie atop the standings with Amherst and Williams both shooting 306.
Kayla Howell '26 once again led the Cardinals through one round of play, finishing the opening round shooting an 87 (+15). Right behind her was fellow first-year
Chanel Hong '26, who finished with a 88 (+16).
Danielle Landis '25 and
Rosie Leonard '26 both shot a round of 89 (+17) as all the Cardinals had scores very close to one another. To close out the scoring for the Cards was
Jacqueline Neishabouri '25, shooting a 90 (+18).
The Cardinals will return to the course for the NESCAC Championships that will take place next Saturday and Sunday (29
th-30
th) at Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
