Chanel Hong '26 made history over the weekend, becoming the highest finisher in Wesleyan women's golf history at the NESCAC Championship. The first-year placed 14
th overall out of 23 golfers. Amherst defended their title, winning the NESCAC Championship by three strokes over Williams.
Hong was tremendous over the two days, carding an 83 on Saturday before firing a 78 on Sunday to finish +19 (83-78-161) for the tournament. Her 78 on Sunday was tied for the eighth-lowest round of any golfer in the field.
After recording six pars and one birdie on Saturday, Hong was steady on Sunday, making 11 pars with no double bogeys or worse in the round.
Hong joins
Milan Yorke '25 as the lone two Cardinals to ever compete at the NESCAC Championship in the four-year program history of the women's golf team at Wesleyan.
