WATERFORD, CT. - For the fifth year in a row, the Wesleyan women's cross country team placed in the Top 10 at the NCAA Mideast Regional Championships, hosted by Conn. College, as they finished seventh out of a field of 24 institutions. Wesleyan was led by
Stephanie Ager '26 with a Top 5 run as she earned All-Region and All-New England honors for the third straight year.
Williams won the event with 59 points. Making up the Top 5 were RPI (110), Amherst (110), Vassar (111), and Middlebury (112). Following in the Top 10, Conn. (116), Wesleyan (153), Coast Guard (180), St. Lawrence (249), and Smith (277). RPI's Jules Bleskoski won the individual race with a final time of 20:47.30.
Ager was once again the top ticket for the Cardinals. Placing fifth, the highest placement of her career, Ager ran a 21:12.50 on the clock and earned All-Region and All-New England honors for the third straight year. All-New England honors go to the Top 20 women runners from New England area schools.
Chase Cerrell '28 earns her first-career All-Region and All-New England honors as she crossed the finish line in 23
rd. Cerrell ran a 22:08.70, a new personal record. After crossing the finish line in 34
th with a final time at 22:37.00,
Alexandra Simon '27 earns her first-career All-Region honors as a Cardinal.
The Cardinals had four more runners place in the Top 100.
Jordan Walter '25 finished with a final time of 22:38.10 for 36
th. At 59,
Virginia Lessner '28 came in at 23:05.50. Timing her race at 23:13.20,
Margaret Stevens placed 63
rd. Rounding out the Cardinals in the Top 100 was
Alexandra Weingard '28, coming in 87
th with a final 23:53.30.
The Cardinals await the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Terre Haute, IN.
