TERRE HAUTE, IN. – Earning her first career All-American honors,
Stephanie Ager '26 led the Wesleyan women's cross country team with a Top 20 finish at the NCAA Championship on Saturday morning as Wesleyan ran their first team race since 2019, placing 24
th of 32 teams at the LaVern Gibson Cross Country Course, hosted by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
MIT won the overall team title with 128 points. Wilmington's (Ohio) Faith Duncan won the individual national title with a final race time of 20:16.5.
Ager, jumping 47 spots from her 2023 finish, crossed the finish line of her third NCAA Championship in 20
th place as she ran a final time of 21:30.1. Becoming just the sixth Cardinal in program history to earn All-American honors, Ager is the first Cardinal since Ravenna Neville '10 in 2009 to achieve the accolade. Ager's placement is also the highest finish for a Cardinal since Ellen Davis '07 placed ninth in 2006.
Racing in her first national championship,
Jordan Walter was the second Cardinal to cross the finish line at 138. Walter clocked in a final time of 22:34.6 to close out the 2024 season.
Chase Cerrell '28 ran 10 places behind Walter, crossing at 148 as she ran a 22:37.6 and closed out the Top 200 for the Cardinals.
Coming in at 209,
Margaret Stevens '27 finalized her race with a time of 23:04.3,
Virginia Lessner '28, running a 23:19.0, placed 228
th in the field. With a final time of 23:30.1,
Alexandra Simon '27 placed 242
nd. At 281,
Alexandra Weingard '28 finished with a time of 24:14.6
