NORTON, MA. – The Wesleyan men's track and field team combined for 21 Top 10 finishes at the Pre-Post Season Meet hosted by Wheaton College on Saturday afternoon as five individual competitors took first place.
In the 60m, Patrick Schectman-Taylor '26 placed 13
th with a person-best time of 7.51. Schectman-Taylor also placed sixth in the 200m, finishing at 24.08.
RESULTS
George Lepska '25 won the 600m with a final, personal-best time of 1:23.84.
Ben Taffet '26 also ran a personal-best time, placing third at 1:26.69.
Simon Chidley '25 was fifth at 1:31.15.
Bruce Lenes '26 won the 1000m, crossing the finish line at 2:37.10. Following,
Dylan Arluk '27 ran a personal best 2:42.76, and
Jude Mourad '27 was third with a personal-best time of 2:43.82.
Zach Allen '27 won the mile race, finishing with a final time of 4:27.75. In fourth,
Will Wise '26 ran a 4:31.68. And
Ben McKinney '27 placed nineth with a final 4:43.44.
In the 3000m,
Aidan Ward '23 placed second, running a person-best time of 8:46.75.
Noah Mahoney '27 was third with a 8:53.01. Fourth place went to Calder Burk '27 with a final 9:12.48.
Anish Visht '24 took first place in the pole vault, with a mark of 3.65m.
Jerry Gong '27 placed ninth in the long jump at 5.73m.
Daniel Bench '27 finished with a personal-best 12.46m in the triple jump for a solid second place.
In the shotput,
Javier Orellana '25 took first place with a mark of 13.97m.
Rami Hayes-Messinger '26 was second with a personal-best 13.17m.
Hayes-Messinger won the weight throw with a mark of 13.83m.
Will Dollhopf '25 was second at 13.44m, and
Eli Liedtka '27 was fourth with a 12.75m.
The Cardinals return to action in the New England Division III Championships on Sunday, Feb. 25, through Monday, Feb. 26.
