BRUNSWICK, ME. – The Wesleyan men's tennis team fell in NESCAC action on Saturday afternoon in a 8-1 defeat at No. 7 Bowdoin College as they were led by
Max Lustgarten '25 with a victory at No. 5 singles.

Harry Collomb '26 forced a tiebreaker as the No. 2 pairing against the Polar Bears' Ethan Bradley and Jackson Codd. Forcing the match to 7-7, the pair still managed to put up six points in the 8-6 tiebreaker that ultimately saw the Polar Bears take the match win at 8-7.
Winning the first set with a 6-4 margin, Lustgarten had an early lead over Andrew Mendelson but Mendelson came back with a 6-2 second set win to force set three. Lustgarten finished off the match with a final 1-0 third set as he won the tiebreaker 10-7.
Max Litton '26also forced a third set as Bradley took set one 6-4 before Litton pulled out the stops for a 7-5 second set. Another tiebreaker, Bradley earned the final set 1-0 as he went 10-5 over Litton.
At No. 6,
Harry Portnoy '24 got tied up in his own right, winning set one 6-4 before he and Mick Tamas went 6-6 in set two, Tamas winning the 8-6 tiebreaker to force set three. Going 12-10, Tamas won the final set 1-0.
The Cardinals return to action on Sunday, April 21, when they travel to Colby for a 2 p.m. NESCAC matchup.
