SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – The Wesleyan women's golf team was in action over the weekend at the Jack Leaman Invitational hosted by Amherst College at The Orchards Golf Club. Wesleyan went 334-340-674 for the weekend, finishing in 14
th place out of 17 teams. Wellesley took the title by six strokes over the Mammoths.
Leading the Cardinals on the weekend was
Kayla Howell '26 who finished in a tie for 46
th place on the player leaderboard with an 81-83-164 for the weekend. In the final tournament of her career,
Maggie Monaghan '24 went 83-89-172 as she tied with three others for the second-best weekend on the team.
Joining Monaghan with a 172 for the weekend was
Mia Holbrook '27 who went 85-87 while
Mia Bardinelli '26 shaved six strokes between rounds, finishing 89-83.
Cecilia Roegner '27 rounded out the group with an 85-87.
The 2023-24 season concludes next weekend (May 4-5) as Holbrook will compete as an individual at the NESCAC Championship held at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
