BOSTON, MA. – The Wesleyan men's track and field team took to action on Saturday to compete in the Suffolk Relays, hosted by Suffolk University, at the Track at New Balance as they finished the day with three Top 10 finishes and 12 Top 20 placements.
The one-mile event kicked off the day for the Cardinals with finishes from
Bruce Lenes '26 and
Rob D'Aquila '26. Lenes placed seventh as he ran a 4:20.62. D'Aquila was behind him in 16
th and crossed the line at 4:24.37.
Steve Paul '28 was the lone competitor for the Cardinals in the 400m and placed 12
th with a 51.71. In the 1000m,
Luke Consolati '25 crossed at 2:38.28 and qualified for 20
th.
Ethan Singleton '28 placed 13
th in the 200m dash invite, running a 22.38.
For the 3000m,
Noah Mahoney '27 led the way with the highest placement of the day at fourth. Mahoney ran a 8:40.15. In seventh,
Calder Burke '27 ran a 8:46.61 and
Nate Fogarty '25 finished in 13
th as he timed a 8:53.48 final.
Placing 12
th in the weight throw,
James Giokaris '24 threw for 14.73m. In 17
th,
Elias Warner '28 threw for 14.22m.
Javier Orellana placed 16
th in the shot put, finishing at 12.73m. Warner placed again at 20
th in the event, throwing 11.84m.
The Cardinals return to action on Friday, Jan. 17, when they compete in the NYC Gotham Cup.
