WILLIAMSTOWN, MA. – The Wesleyan men's swimming and diving squad opened the 2025-26 season on the road at Williams College in a tri-meet with Springfield College. Wesleyan fell to Williams 211-71 and Springfield, 164-132 on Saturday afternoon.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Freshman Jeremiah Tomioka '29 led the way for the Cardinals with three Top 5 finishes for the Cardinals including a first-place victory in the men's 200-yard individual medley. Tomioka finished with a time of 2:07.92. Tomioka placed third in the 1,000-yard free with a 10:14.37 and placed fifth in the 500-yard free, 5:01.42.
- Evan Byun '29 earned two top finishes, placing fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.96) and second in the 200-yard IM (2:08.88).
- Ben White '29 placed third in the 200-yard backstroke (2:04.65) and fifth in the 100-yard back (57.20).
- Placing fourth in the 200-yard fly, Beau Chan '29 clocked a 2:00.50 and fifth in the 100-yard fly (53.23).
- Wesleyan placed second in the 400-yard free relay, Tomas Gonzalez '27, Chan, Will Harmon '29, and Tomioka, combing for a 3:22.03 finish.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Nov. 22, when they head to Bates for a 1 p.m. start.
