Women’s Squash Tops Conn. College, 7-2, at Home

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women's squash team closed out the fall semester with a 7-2 win over Connecticut College at home on Sunday morning. The Cardinals improve to 3-2 on the season with the win while the Camels are 1-4.

  • All five of the match wins for Wesleyan finished in 3-0 sweeps while the Cardinals tacked on two points winning by default as the Camels only had seven players in the lineup.
  • Leandra Sze '26 dropped the fewest points as she won her match at #6 by a 11-0, 11-3, 11-2 score against Natalie Drew.
  • Frances Guenther '28 finished her match in the shortest time, needing only 13 minutes to defeat Angelise Ramirez 11-3, 11-1, 11-6 at #7.
  • Aanya Anand '26 triumphed at #3 over Gwyneth Perez-Perez 11-5, 11-2, 11-4 while Avika Pande '26 and Katherine Risden '28 both won at #2 and #4, respectively, in more competitive 3-0 matches.
  • Caroline Caiati '28 and Saara Saini '28 won by defeat at #8 and #9.
Wesleyan has a month off before resuming competition at Bowdoin on Wednesday, January 7.
