Lizzie Marino '25 and
Waverly Smart '27 both reached base safely in all three plate appearances. Marino went 2-for-2 with one walk while Smart walked three times and scored three runs. Orso helped her own cause with a triple in one of her two at-bats while

Â

rd inning as well, hitting a three-run shot to push Wesleyan out in front 9-0. Palmer tacked on another run with a two-out RBI single that scored Orso from third. Marino added the final run with an RBI single up the middle in the 4
th inning, while Orso closed the door on the no-hitter with a 1-2-3 5
th inning.
Â
The Cardinals were gifted another gem in game two on Friday, as

Jordynn Killion '27 went 2-for-3 with one double and 1 RBI, and Marino went 1-for-2 with two runs scored and one walk.
Â
After two scoreless innings to start, Wesleyan loaded the bases in the 3

Â
As Lees continued to mow through the Penn State Behrend lineup, the Cardinals tacked on another run as Lees hit a one-out single to center and then pinch runner
Bella Tassone '24, G'25 scored all the way from first on a Killion RBI double to left.
Â
Lees stranded two runners in scoring position in the top of the 6
th and then Lennon added an insurance run with an RBI double to center that scored Marino from first.
Â
The first-year Lees finished the game off with her seventh strikeout in what was the first complete game and shutout in her career.
