No. 8 Wesleyan Defeats Endicott 14-5 Behind Hat Tricks from Cummings and Green

Cardinals win their fourth straight, using a 9-0 run to defeat the Gulls

PANAMA CITY, Fla. – The No. 8 ranked Wesleyan women's lacrosse team proved too much for Endicott, using an extended scoring run to defeat the Gulls 14-5 from Public Park down in Florida. Wesleyan (4-1) wins their fourth straight while Endicott (2-3) loses for the third time in the past four games.

After Endicott's Leah Black got the scoring start, Wesleyan answered back with four unanswered goals in the remainder of the first quarter. Dylan Green '26 cashed in on a player-up opportunity before Elle Priesing '26 scooped up a ground ball after a failed Endicott clearance and scored a player-down goal to give the Cardinals the lead. Addie Cummings '26 was next, scoring an unassisted goal before scoring another in the final minute of the frame with Green assisting on the marker.

Wesleyan extended their lead in the second quarter, outscoring Endicott 3-1 to go up 7-2 at halftime. Black scored again for Endicott to break the Wesleyan scoring run, but on the ensuing possession, Bridget Horst '26 scored to kick start what would turn into a game-deciding 9-0 run for the Cardinals that lasted for the remainder of the second quarter and through the third quarter.

Cummings completed a first half hat trick, scoring off a feed from Horst with 2:11 to go before halftime, then Green netted her second goal of the game to make it 7-2 Cardinals at the break.

A barrage of Wesleyan goals to open the second half put the game out of reach. Alix Riley '25, Lindsey Diomede '26, and Sam DeLeo '25 each scored their first of the night while Priesing registered her second goal to hand Wesleyan the 11-2 lead. Green then completed her hat trick a few minutes later and Mya Waryas '27 scored her first of the night with the game now in running clock with the Cardinals up double digits.

Sabrina Katz '28 completed the scoring with her first career goal in the fourth quarter as Wesleyan finished off the 14-5 win.

Cummings scored three for her first career hat trick and added an assist for a four-point game. Green joined her with the same stat line (three goals, one assist) to go along with four draw controls. Priesing scored twice while Horst and Waryas each had one goal and one assist.

Diomede added three ground balls and two caused turnovers, both leading the team, while Lilly Stoller '26 posted two caused turnovers.

Izzy Weintraub '26 wasn't tested much in cage, but she made four saves on six shots-on-goal in 45 minutes of action, getting the win.

Wesleyan closes out the stay in Florida with a 1:00 PM start against Stevenson on Wednesday. This is the first all-time meeting between the two sides.
