MIDDLETOWN, Conn. –
Shane Regan '25 of the Wesleyan men's basketball team was named a Third Team All-American by D3hoops.com in an announcement made on Saturday afternoon. Regan, a two-time All-Region First Team selection, becomes just the third All-American in team history as he joins Sam Peek '22 and Leo Jones '02 in the exclusive club.
Regan was the second-leading scorer in the NESCAC this season, putting up 18 points per game on 50.6 percent shooting and 85.9 percent from the free throw line. He ranked fifth in the NESCAC in field goal percentage (second among guards) and was second-best in free throw percentage while also ranking seventh in assists per game (2.9) and tied for eighth in minutes (29.8).

The go-to scorer for a Wesleyan squad that started the season 26-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country for nearly two months scored in double figures in 27-of-31 games while scoring 20+ 15 times. He had two separate streaks of four straight games scoring 20+ points. In the NESCAC Tournament, Regan scored 75 points, averaging 25 per game including an epic second half performance in the NESCAC Quarterfinal where he scored 17 of Wesleyan's final 21 points to secure a 65-58 win over the Mammoths.
