NEWPORT NEWS, VA. – As the annual Spring Break trip comes to a close, the Wesleyan men's tennis team returns home to Middletown with a 2-1 record after downing Kenyon College, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon, led by Brett Keeling '27 and Chase Kasday '26 from Christopher Newport's Eyre Courts.

Running out on a six-game tear, the doubles pairing of Keeling and Kasday are 6-1 through the start of the season, only seeing defeat in the season opener. Sunday afternoon's matchup with the Owls was no different as the duo led the Cardinals out once again. Filing into the lineup at No. 5, Keeling went head-to-head with Zhang again during singles play, earning himself and the Cardinals a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Kasday's match at No. 6 put him against Rakkan Audeh, the junior clipping a second win with a 6-4, 6-2 final.

Max Litton '26 was the first singles match victory following a sweep of the doubles play matches. Litton went 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4 over Juozas Cioladis. Senior Max Lustgarten closed the non-conference contest with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Rishil Kondapaneni at No. 3.

Facing Kondapaneni and Jay KedarDixit as the No. 3 doubles pairing, Lustgarten and Jex Frankel completed a 6-4 match win. The Cardinals' doubles sweep closed with the No. 1 pairing of Litton and Harry Collomb '26 downing Paulo Pocasangre and Alejandro Gonzalez in a 8-6 tiebreak that saw the pair win the set 7-6.
