MEDFORD, MA. – Marking several Top 10 finishes at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet, the Wesleyan men's track and field team showed out as they were led by
Javier Orellana and
Will Dollhopf in the field events.
The senior duo in the throwing events closed their weekend with two third place finishes for the Cardinals. Orellana, the Cardinals' top contender in the men's indoor shot put, threw for 14.92m to earn himself top honors. Dollhopf, who continually has led all Cardinals in the indoor weight throw, landed a final distance of 15.91m.
Featuring in the mile race for the Cardinals,
Liam Calhoun '26 crossed the finish line at 4:13.50, placing fifth out of a field of 14 runners. Placing ninth in the 200m,
Steve Paul '28 ran a clocked time of 22.44 in the 14-man field.
Nate Fogarty '25 was the final placement for the Cardinals as he finished the 800m in 13
th place, closing in on a 1:58.30 time on the afternoon.
Beginning Friday, March 14, the Cardinals will compete at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships in Rochester, N.Y.
