MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's crew team saw a pair of student-athletes earn All-American honors, as announced by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) on Thursday afternoon.
Eli Smirin '26 was named a First Team All-American while
Gus Shuman '27 was named to the Second Team.
For Smirin, this is his second career All-American nod and first time making the First Team. Smirin was a Second Team selection as a sophomore in 2023-24. Shuman is an All-American for the first time in his career.

Both Smirin and Shuman were key members of the Cardinals' varsity 8 boat that placed second at the New England Championships, fourth at the National Invitational Rowing Championship, and fifth at the IRA National Championship. The Cardinals' runner-up finish at the New England Championships marked the third straight Top 3 finish for Wesleyan at the event.
