CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The 2024-25 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar Team was announced on Monday afternoon and among the 1,500 women's collegiate golfers recognized included
Kayla Howell '26,
Rosie Leonard '26, and
Mia Holbrook '27 of the Wesleyan women's golf team.
Howell, Leonard, and Holbrook earn the distinction for the first time in their respective careers. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team includes an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, earn a varsity letter for the 2024-25 season, and have played in 50% of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
Howell has a 3.573 GPA entering her senior year in 2025-26 and is double majoring in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Leonard's GPA stands at 4.047 through her junior year as a double major in Education Studies and Psychology. Holbrook sports a cumulative 3.885 GPA through the end of her sophomore year and is an Economics and Psychology double major.
Both Howell and Holbrook shined at the NESCAC Championship with Holbrook finishing second overall with a +7 through the three-round tournament while Howell finished in a tie for 11
th place, shooting 75-74 across the final two rounds to move up over 20 spots on the player leaderboard. Leonard was a team captain in the 2024-25 season and made six appearances in the campaign.
