MIDDLETOWN, CT. – Despite marking the opening goal of the game, the Wesleyan men's soccer team could not hold the lead over Brandeis University on Tuesday night, falling 2-1 in non-conference action from Smith Field.
In a chippy, back and forth game under the lights, the Cardinals held an edge over the Judges through the first half, shooting a 6-5 differential as
Joshwin Jennings '27 knocked in the first goal of the game. At 11:26, Aidan Londergan '27 settled the ball out left but it was
Ford Cash '29 that got the final touch on the re-direct to Jennings flying in on the right to set up the tally.
The Judges tied the game up at one at 34:57, Yoav Feingold earning two-points on the goal. The Judges would outpace the Cardinals for the remainder of the game. The game-winning goal, scored by Keller Chamovitz, was knocked in at 58:26 as the Judges walked away with the victory.
Mathis Blanc '26 finished with no saves in goal for the Cardinals while Tyler Correnti finished with one.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Sept. 20, when they travel to Bates for a 2 p.m. kickoff.
