The Excelsior, Minn. native brings a wealth of hockey experience and knowledge to the Cardinals’ program, as she currently plays for the Connecticut Whale of the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL).

Rossman made a name for herself as a standout goalie at the Division I level, as she suited up for Quinnipiac from 2013-17. During the 2015-16 campaign, she did it all for the Bobcats, guiding the team to the ECAC Championship, in addition to earning numerous individual honors, including ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Year, ECAC Hockey Tournament Most Outstanding Player and All-ECAC First Team recognition.

Rossman also earned New England All-Star and All-USCHO Third Team honors at the conclusion of the season, as the Minnetonka High School product finished with a tremendous 0.90 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage, en route to a 30-3-5 record in between the pipes. Rossman, who only allowed 35 goals in 38 games, was a major reason the Bobcats qualified for the NCAA Division I Tournament in 2016.

A 2017 graduate of Qunnipiac, Rossman earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing, and excelled in the classroom, maintaining a 3.5 GPA, as she was a member of the Dean’s List from 2013-17. She was also a frequent member of the ECAC All-Academic Team, as Rossman finished her career with a 52-13-11 record in net, boasting a 1.16 goals-against average and a .938 save percentage, to go along with 1,409 saves.

The hard-working leader brings some prior coaching experience to Middletown, Conn., as she has been a coaching consultant at Pro Crease Goaltending in Cromwell, Conn., while also working as a marketing and communications intern at Bozzuto’s in Cheshire, Conn. During her later years with the Bobcats, she mentored some of the younger players on and off the ice.

Rossman is furthering her education in the classroom, as she is working her way to a master’s in business administration and maintaining a 3.8 GPA during her graduate studies at Quinnipiac.
