CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – In one of the largest regattas in the country, the Wesleyan men's crew team had a strong weekend as the varsity 8 boat took 13
th place out of 41 teams on Sunday in the men's collegiate eights while the club 4 boat impressed with an eighth place finish out of 50 teams on Saturday.

Pierce Buckner-Wolfson '26. At the first riverside checkpoint, Wesleyan was in 14
th place with a time of 3:22.05. Later at the weld, Wesleyan moved up to 13
th with a time of 8:00.76. Nearing the finish, Wesleyan dropped down to 15
th place at the CBC checkpoint at 12:25.26. But a strong finish saw Wesleyan pass two boats to pick up the 13
th place finish with a final time of 14:56.34.
In the men's club fours event on Saturday, Wesleyan put together a strong performance as the coxswain
Leo Rosenblum '24 led the boat of
Brett Beaman '26,
Oliver Saffery '23,
Freddie Bell '25, and
Max Ewing '24 to an eighth place showing out of 50 teams. Among just collegiate boats, Wesleyan's was third-best in the field. The Cardinals were in a great position in the early going, sitting third overall at the riverside checkpoint at 3:50.56. Wesleyan fell back to ninth, where they remained until the home stretch where they passed one boat to finish eighth overall with a time of 16:59.71.
Just one regatta remains in the fall season as the Cardinals travel to Saratoga Springs, New York for the Head of the Fish on Saturday, October 29.
