WORCESTER, Mass. – In a dominating showing the No. 5 ranked Wesleyan men's crew team captured first place in the varsity 8 race, earning the Class of 2003 title in a meet hosted by WPI at Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday morning. The Cardinals also captured first place in the 2
nd varsity 8 and 3
rd varsity 8 races on the day.

Pierce Buckner-Wolfson '26 - earned the title with a time of 6:06.79 that was over six seconds faster than the runner-up No. 4 WPI who clocked in at 6:13.21 on the 2000m course. This marked just the second time in the last six seasons that Wesleyan has captured the Class of 2003 title and the first time 2019.
The Cardinals continued to roll on the day as Wesleyan also captured first place in the 2
nd varsity 8 competition. Racing against three other boats, Wesleyan -

The only two boats fastest was Wesleyan's varsity 8 and WPI's varsity 8. The Cardinals' second boat was faster than No. 8 Hamilton's top boat (6:17.89).
