Men’s Track and Field Places Fifth at Snowflake Classic

MEDFORD, MA. – Nate Fogarty '25 led the Wesleyan men's track and field team on Saturday afternoon with a first-place finish in the men's 800m race that saw seven Top 20 finishes as Wesleyan placed fifth out of a field of 17 schools. Wesleyan finished with a total of 26 Top 20 placements. The Cardinals dominated the field in the men's 800m event with Fogarty taking the top finish, crossing the finish line with a final 1:57.80. Ben Taffet '26 was seventh (1:59.92), Alexander Geula '25 was ninth (2:00.81), Alex Lara '27 was 11th (2:02.88), Rob D'Aquila '26 was 12th (2:02.98), Luke Consolati '25 was 13th (2:03.08), and Owen Zinn-Keane '26 was 18th (2:05.91).

Sam Musto '24 and Kyle Roshankish '24 kicked off the morning with finishes in the 200m and 400m races. In the 200m, Musto placed 15th with a 23.22 and Roshankish was right behind him in 16th with a 23.23. In the 400m, Musto was sixth at 51.30 and Roshankish placed 12th at 53.26.

Alex Kermath '26 took home a solid second place finish in the 1500m event, finishing with a time of 4:03.64. In 6th, D'Aquila finished the race at 4:04.47.

The Cardinals also took charge of the 5000m with Liam Calhoun '26 earning the highest placement at fourth with a time of 15:05.31. Noah Mahoney '27 was sixth (15:14.80), Aidan Ward '24 was eighth (15:39.95), and Bruce Lenes '26 took ninth (15:52.46).

Anish Visht '24 placed sixth in the pole vault with a height of 3.95 meters.

Daniel Bench '27 took eighth place in the triple jump, coming in at 12.28 meters and placed 20th in the long jump at 5.32 meters.

Rami Hayes-Messinger '26 took three placements in the field events, taking home eighth in the shut put at 12.72 meters. In the hammer throw, Hayes-Messinger was 10th with a final distance of 35.31 meters. In the javelin finals, Hayes-Messinger threw for 49.93 meters that was good for 12th place.

In the discus event, Will Dollhopf '25 took 12th with a 33.42-meter throw. In the hammer throw, Dollhopf was good for 36.98 meters and seventh place.

Eli Liedtka '27 placed 16th in the javelin with a 39.74-meter throw.

The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, April 6, when they head to the Amherst Spring Fling meet.
