AMHERST, MA. – The Wesleyan men's track and field team took on the Amherst Spring Fling meet on Sunday afternoon, finishing with five Top 10 placements and 10 Top 20 overall finishes with
Sam Musto '24 leading the way with a sixth place final in the 400m.
Sam Musto came away with the highest finish for the Cardinals early Sunday morning as he crossed the finish line of the 400m with a final time of 50.22, good enough for sixth place.
In the 800m race,
Alex Geula '25 ran a 1:59.54 for 17
th place as
Ben Taffet '26 finished just two places behind in 19
th with a 1:59.70.
The Cardinals had three finishes in the 1500m with
George Lepska '25 leading the way in seventh with a 3:57.70 final. In 12
th was
Nate Fogarty '25 with a time of 3:59.13. And 20
th went to
Rob D'Aquila '26with a 4:03.20.
Anish Visht '24 placed seventh in the pole vault, finishing with a final height of 4.00m.
Another seventh-place finish went to
Eli Liedtka '27 in the javelin throw, finishing with a 44.23m distance.
The long jump saw two Cardinals place with
Jerry Gong '27 going seventh at 6.33m and
Josh Ng '27 taking 11
th at 6.17m.
The Cardinals return to action on Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13, when they head to Smith College for the Smith College Invite.
