LEWISTON, ME. – Jeremiah Tomioka '29 once again led the Wesleyan men's swimming and diving team on Saturday afternoon, picking up first and second place finishes in a 166.5-47.5 loss to No. 21 Bates College from the Tarbell Pool.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Tomioka's victory came in the men's 1,000-yard free distance event as he touched the wall in first place with a final clocked time of 10:10.51. He went on to place second in the 500-yard free, swimming a time of 4:58.22.
- Daniel Isman '26 swam a third-place time of 2:05.34 in the 200-yard individual medley, besting his previous time of 2:09.71 by nearly four seconds.
- In the 200-yard free, Evan Byun '29 placed third with a time of 1:54.71. Beau Chan '29 also took third, timing a 2:01.32 in the 200-yard fly. The 200-yard breaststroke saw Ben White '29 place third with a final 2:05.05.
The Cardinals return to action on Sunday, Nov. 23, when they travel to No. 20 Amherst for a 12 p.m. start.
