AMHERST, MA. - With a second-place finish in the men's 100-yard individual medley,
Beau Chan '29 entered the Wesleyan men's swimming and diving Top 10 times in the event as Wesleyan fell to Amherst College on Sunday morning, falling 46-216 from Amherst's Pratt Pool.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Beau Chan finished the meet with several Top 5 finishes, but it was his finish in 2nd in the 100-yard IM that place him amongst some of the greats of Wesleyan swimming. Clocking a time of 53.88, Chan is the fourth fastest time in the event for the Cardinals all time. Chan also placed fourth in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing with a 1:49.42 before placing fourth in the 50-yard fly with a 23.82.
- Placing third in the 50-yard backstroke, Ben White '29 swam a final time of 27.51. Tomas Gonzales also placed third, clocking in a 52.46 in the 100-yard fly.
- Daniel Isman '26 swam a 4:22.46 in the 400-yard IM, placing fourth before finishing fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing at 1:02.42.
- In the 100-yard free, Jeremiah Tomioka '29 placed fourth, finishing with a final time of 50.77.
The Cardinals return to action on Friday, Dec. 5, when they host the Jayden Szkirka Memorial Championships.
