Mira Bakshi Earns All-NESCAC Selection

MIDDLETOWN, CT. – Earning her first-career All-Conference selection, junior Mira Bakshi '26 was named a Second Team All-NESCAC honoree on Wednesday afternoon, March 12, as announced by the conference office in Hadley, MA.

Running a 6-0 overall record on the season, Bakshi was one of the pins in the Cardinals' efforts to reach and defend their Walker Cup title. Bakshi is the first Cardinal in six years to earn All-NESCAC honors, the last two do so was Aditi Prasad in 2020.

Bakshi picked two wins against Conn. College this season, once during the regular season and once in the opening round of the CSA Walker Cup tournament. Helping lead the Cardinals to a 9-0 sweep of the #8 Camels in Round One, Bakshi was one of nine 3-0 match sweeps across the lineup. Leading at #1, Bakshi faced Marian Anwar in a contested matchup, as Anwar cut Bakshi's final scores in half in games one and two. In game three, Anwar forced the game to extra points, but it was Bakshi who ultimately won, 3-0 with final scores of 11-6, 11-6, 13-11.

Bakshi's 3-0 sweep at #1 against the Camels on December fourth ended in 11-4, 11-2, 11-8 final scores.
