MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men's crew team saw 13 named Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA). In addition,
Asher Israel '26 was named a finalist for the IRCA Scholar-Athlete Award, given to the student-athlete with the strongest academic accomplishments as determined through a combination of GPA, major field of study, and academic accomplishments.
To earn IRCA Scholar-Athlete honors, all rowers and coxswains must be in their sophomore year or above, have competed in their program's top three boats during the current season, or raced at the 2025 IRA National Championship, and have at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA through the 2024 fall semester.
