MIDDLETOWN, CT. - The Wesleyan women's squash team welcomed William Smith College to the Rosenbaum Squash Center on Thursday morning and played a perfect 9-0 game with 3-0 match sweeps down the lineup. Wesleyan advances to 6-3 on the season while William Smith falls to 0-9.

Highlighting the morning in a quick and simple victory,
Aanya Anand '26 dropped just three points at #3 as she defeated Scarlett Sandoval 11-2, 11-1, 11-0 in a 13-minute match.
Anand wasn't the only Cardinals to play it quick and easy. At #9,
Marveya Velasquez '27 took just 12 minutes to shake Amalia Clemente 11-1, 11-3, 11-3 while
Caroline Caiati '28 defeated Sadie Sanchez 11-3, 11-1, 11-1 in the same span at #7.
Saara Saini '28 made an appearance at #8, running an 11-1, 11-3, 11-2 match win over Katherine Hughey. With 11-2 wins in each game,
Leandra Sze '26 finished with a win over Ashley Ambrosio at #6. Facing Teghan Torrey at #5,
Jaclyn Dichter '26 ran an 11-0, 11-4, 11-1 final tally.
Stationed at #4,
Penelope Furnas '27 saw Kimberly Javier's finish in an 11-4, 11-0, 11-3 final.
Avika Pande '26 fell into a bit of a fight at #2 but was quick to finish Jessica Finnerty with final scores of 11-7, 11-2, 11-4.
At #1,
Mira Bakshi '26 was forced to extra points in game one as Jada Smith-Padmore rallied to 10 points despite the loss. Bakshi finished 12-10, 11-5, 11-3.
The Cardinals return to action on Saturday, Jan. 17, when they host Haverford in the first round of the Wesleyan Round Robin at 10 a.m.
