BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. – The Wesleyan men's golf team competed in the Tim Brown Invitational this weekend hosted by Skidmore. The Cardinals shot 323-313 (+68) and finished in 17
th place out of 17 teams. NYU won the event with a +16 while Amherst finished in second place.
Lev Abramson '28 led the Cardinals with a 78-79 (+15), recording three birdies over the 36 holes to finish in a tie for 58
th place out of 96 golfers on the player leaderboard.
Johnathan Harlukowicz '27 posted a team-leading four birdies in the tournament, finishing 78-81 (+17) and in a tie for 71
st place. Harlukowicz had 11 pars on Sunday in round 2.
Fisher Hirsch '26 finished with the same score as Harlukowicz, shooting 81-78 (+17) with nine pars in both his round 1 and round 2.
Gavin Sendar '28 shaved 11 strokes off his two rounds, shooting 86 on Saturday before firing in a 75 (+4) on Sunday to finish +19 overall. He finished with three birdies and one eagle on the weekend, recording a three on the par 5 8
th hole on Sunday. Sendar's 75 on Sunday was the low round on the weekend for the Cardinals.
Drew Haxton '28 rounded out the field for Wesleyan and he shot 86-81 (+25) while recording three birdies on Sunday.
The Cardinals are back in action next weekend with the Rhode Island College Spring Invitational on April 17-18.
