AMHERST, MA. – Closing the weekend with high performances and two school records, the Wesleyan men's track and field team competed at the Amherst Spring Fling, hosted by Amherst College on Saturday afternoon while the team was highlighted by
Steve Paul's '28 runs in the 100m and 200m.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Crushing his own record in the men's outdoor 100m dash, Paul placed second in the event but cleared his previous time of 10.60 with a brand new 10.59. Paul set the record last season as a freshman.
- Paul followed his record performance with a first-place finish in the 200m dash, crossing the finish line with a final 21.62.
- Liam Calhoun '26 led the Cardinals in the 1500m, placing fifth as he finished with a final time of 3:52.05. Calhoun is just two seconds behind the 3:50 school record set in 1960.
- Another school record went to the 4x100 relay team. Carlo Fedolfi '27, Reese Connors '29, Auren Director '29, and Paul combined for a final 42.23 in fifth place, breaking the previous time of 42.95 set in 2025 by Neil Bulchandani '28, Ethan Singleton, Patrick Schechtman-Taylor '26, and Paul.
- The 4x400 relay team also placed fifth, this time it was Doug Clement '29, Hyatt Hicks '28, Paul, and Connors finishing with a 3:26.95.
The Cardinals return to action on Friday, April 10, when they head to Conn. College for the Silfen Invitational.
