WAYLAND, Mass. – In the final competition of the fall season for the Wesleyan men's golf team, the Cardinals finished third out of four teams in a tournament hosted by Tufts at the Sandy Burr Country Club. The host Jumbos took first place over Amherst in second followed by the Cardinals and Bowdoin.
Jacob Fain '23 tied with
Eli Epstein-Lubow '23 for low round of the day for Wesleyan as both fired +5 (77) for the day.
Owen Cannizzo '24 was one stroke behind with a +6 (78) playing on the par 72 course.
Daniel Kraft '23 rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals with a +11 (83) to give Wesleyan a four-player total of 315 which was good enough for third place. Tufts shot 286 as a team to take first, Amherst finished with a 309 and Bowdoin totaled 325.
Wesleyan will resume competition deep into the spring season in April 2022.
