MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Wesleyan men's golf team took part in the Duke Nelson Invitational hosted by Middlebury over the weekend and finished tied for 20
th out of 23 teams. The two-day event saw the Cardinals post a day one total of 326 before recording a 325 on day two.
Leading the way for Wesleyan was
Owen Cannizzo '24 who finished tied for 36
th on the overall leaderboard, carding a 75 on Saturday and 79 on Saturday for a two-day total of 154.
Jacob Fain '23 posted a 77 in round two, a five-shot improvement from his opening round 82 as he finished at 159 for the tournament.
Daniel Kraft '23 and
Eli Epstein-Lubow '23 closed the scoring for Wesleyan.
Next up for Wesleyan is the Williams Invitational, set to take place Sept. 18-19 at the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown.
