WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Wesleyan men's golf team competed in the Williams Fall Invitational this weekend at the Taconic Golf Club and finished tied for 11
th in the 18-team field as the Cardinals shot a two-day team score of 633 (312-321). As a team, the Cardinals' 633 team score is a 13-stroke improvement from the mark posted by Wesleyan at the 2019 Williams Fall Invitational.
Babson College was incredible throughout the two-day event as the team posted a -8 scorecard, shooting 560 (284-276) to take the top spot, 35 strokes between than the runner-up Trinity.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Cardinals were led by Daniel Kraft '23 who went low, shooting 76 on both round 1 and round 2 for a combined +10 (152) for the tournament. Kraft finished in a tie for 21st place in the overall individual leaderboard.
- Eli Epstein-Lubow '23 also went sub-80 in both rounds of the Invitational, carding a 76 in round one before following up with a 79 on Sunday to finish +13 for the tournament and in a tie for 36th place
- Noah Cate '22 was the third-best on the team throughout the weekend, going 78-84 for a two-day total of 162
- Jacob Fain '23 went 82-82 in his two rounds to finish +22 with a 164 stroke total while Tom Holley '23 rounded out the Cardinal lineup with a 189 total over the two days
