PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Wesleyan men's track & field team fielded a small group of competitors at the Brown Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals managed 30 points to take fifth place in the team scoring. Brown claimed first place with 152 points on the day.
Highlighting the day for Wesleyan was a first-place finish in the 4x400m relay.
Kyle Roshankish '24,
Nigel Hayes '23,
Jonah Rosenthal '26, and
Harry Kim '25 combined on a 3:37.61 finishing time to claim first out of three relay teams.
Wesleyan's 4x400m relay group each competed in the 300m event, with Roshankish leading the way in fourth place overall with a time of 36.50 seconds. Rosenthal took sixth place at 37.70 while Hayes was seventh at 37.95.
Nick Carulli '23 was second in the 60m hurdles, finishing in 8.78 seconds in the final.
Javier Orellana '25 led the Cardinal contingent in the shot put, placing eighth overall with a mark of 13.43m.
The championship portion of the indoor season begins next weekend at the New England Division III Championships on February 24-25.
