MIDDLETOWN, CT. - Following a career season as the scoring leader for the Wesleyan men's soccer team, junior midfielder
Aiden Londergan has earned another accolade to his name as the College Sports Communicators announced the 2025 Academic All-American selections on Tuesday, Dec. 16. Londergan earns recognition on the Third Team for the first time.
Eligibility for the CSC Academic All-America nominations requires a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically with a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA while serving as a starter or significant reserve.
The Barrington, Ill., native finished the semester with a 4.00 GPA, just one of five Division III selections to hit a 4.00 while double majoring in Chemistry and Molecular Biology & Biochemistry. Londergan is the first CSC Academic All-American selection for Wesleyan University since 2023 (Grace Devanny '23) and the first for the men's soccer program since 2009 (Jory Kahan '09). Londergan was also a 2025 CSC Academic All-District selection. Prior to the end of the season, Londergan earned All-NESCAC First Team honors before being named an All-Region I First Team honoree.
Londergan completed his breakout junior season as the leading scorer for the Cardinals, putting away eight goals and three assists for 19 points while starting in all 19 games played. Highlighting a stellar season for the Cardinals with a trip to Second Round of the NCAA Tournament, Londergan nailed the game-winning goal in three season defining wins. Scoring the lone goal on Sept. 28 to defeat No. 7 Middlebury on the road, Londergan followed the performance with a hat trick over Trinity en route to a stunning 1-0 victory over No. 1 Williams to win the Little Three Championship. In the opening round of the NESCAC Championships, Londergan shut down the Amherst with 14 seconds remaining in regulation to avoid overtime in a 3-2 nail biting victory.
Within the NESCAC, Londergan finished fourth in points, fifth in goals, and sixth in game-winning goals.
